KEYSTONE WOODS WILD MANAGEMENT AREA

THE TRANSITION

Since 1985, Northern Flight has been training and testing at the Kelley Land and Cattle Company, affectionately known as Kelley Farms. In 2024 the majority of the property was sold to the Land for Public Trust and then turned over to the Minnesota DNR to be turned into a Wildlife Management Area (WMA), now known as Keystone Woods, WMA. 


Working with the Minnesota Federation of Field Trial Clubs (MFFTC), 336 acres have been leased for dog training. Northern Flight HRA club training and individual passes will allow us to continue to be able to work with our dogs.

Here you can view an interactive marked map of the property for the 2026 training season. There are four main training areas outlined for use by both clubs and individuals with training passes. To access certain areas, you will need a padlock combination which you will receive when your membership application and dues are fulfilled.

CALENDAR OF CLUB FIELD RESERVATIONS

While we can purchase Training Permits for training at Keystone Woods, Northern Flight is not the only club who uses the property. To see when other clubs have reserved space and time at Keystone Woods, please use the following link. All reservations take priority.

With the lease of the property, there are strict rules that all those training must follow. Please take the time to read through all of these rules and make yourself familiar with what is expected of us as we train here.
